STVP’s Year in Review

This past year at the Stanford Technology Ventures Program has been one of remarkable growth, research, innovation, and commitment to nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. In 2025, STVP’s home department Management Science & Engineering, celebrated 25 years of entrepreneurship education, and the School of Engineering turned 100!. 

As we move toward three decades of STVP, we build on a track record for world-leading research, teaching, and a community of entrepreneurial champions second to none. Our newly released annual report offers a full reflection on 2025, and also perspective on how far we’ve come as a center, across research, teaching, and the ever-growing STVP community. 

Research

Leading-edge scholarly research from STVP creates a deep understanding of start-up performance and growth, technology innovation, and entrepreneurial policy. Our rigorous approach provides accessible insights that entrepreneurs apply in practice, while also improving the theoretical understanding of entrepreneurship. How research is shaping our work:

Teaching

Stanford students from every discipline gain transformative learning experiences, a community of talent, and Stanford Engineering’s spirit of groundbreaking technology innovation. Our pioneering pedagogies and widely accessible curricula power learning experiences around the world. Some of our teaching accomplishments:
