Sara El Baghdadi
M.S. in Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME)
Sara is a Moroccan student pursuing an M.S. in Computational and Mathematical Engineering at Stanford. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Applied Mathematics and AI at École Polytechnique in France, where she became increasingly interested in how quantitative methods can support medical decision making. After an internship in trading at J.P. Morgan, she joined Columbia University to work on statistical inference for cancer evolution. She also conducts research at Stanford Medicine in anesthesiology alongside her graduate studies, focusing on cardiovascular waveform analysis to improve the prediction of intraoperative hypotension. She hopes to use her technical background to build tools that support clinicians and eventually create her own healthcare startup.
