Gene Therapy, Blood Cancer, Stem Cell Transplantation
I am a Physician-Scientist specializing in stem cell transplantation, cellular therapies, and gene editing for blood cancers. Following medical school in Germany and residency in Zurich, I was appointed Attending Physician in 2023. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I contributed to the development of novel immunotherapies for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a particularly aggressive hematologic malignancy. Motivated by the transformative potential of genetic precision medicine, I then joined Stanford University as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Currently, I utilize state-of-the-art tools – including CRISPR, base editors, and viral vectors – to develop scalable therapies with broad efficacy across blood cancers, while maintaining a focus on their potential for clinical translation.
