Milenia is a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University, where she develops thin-film catalysts made from earth-abundant materials to enable low-cost, durable green hydrogen production. Her research focuses on understanding catalyst degradation in AEM water electrolyzers using operando techniques. She co-leads the Stanford Hydrogen Club and co-hosts the Stanford Hydrogen Innovators Podcast. Beyond the lab, Milenia advises Microsoft on U.S. nuclear policy through the OpenMinds Next Gen program. She is passionate about accelerating the energy transition, mentorship, and educational equity.
