Chemical Biology
Dr. Lindsay Guzmán is a chemical biologist developing protein-based therapeutics for cancer treatment. She earned her B.S. in chemistry from the University of Oregon, where she was first introduced to chemical biology, and completed her Ph.D. at the University of Arizona, designing chemical probes to label and study proteins. She is currently a postdoctoral scholar in the lab of Dr. Carolyn Bertozzi, where she develops enzyme therapeutics that target tumor-associated glycans which are linked to poor cancer prognosis. Lindsay aims to translate her research into industry by founding a company based on her postdoctoral work.
