Fateme Nateghi
AI in Healthcare
Fateme is a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford in the Division of Computational Medicine, where she develops trustworthy AI for healthcare and studies how these tools can be integrated into clinical workflows. Her work focuses on improving access to care by reducing delays and clinician burden in settings where specialist capacity is limited, and by designing evaluation approaches that surface real-world risks and failure modes. She works at the intersection of machine learning, large language models, and clinical informatics, with an emphasis on safety, transparency, and practical adoption in health systems. Fateme holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven. In her free time, she enjoys volleyball, traveling, and photography.
