Computer Science and Earth Systems
Eyrin Kim is a junior from Knoxville, Tennessee studying Artificial Intelligence and Earth Systems. She is deeply interested in the nexus of technology and energy, ranging from grid modernization to computational approaches for energy abundance. Her work began at 16 conducting direct air capture research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and has since expanded to building computer vision algorithms for satellites and developing climate resilience platforms. At Stanford, she conducts geospatial machine learning research, invests in student-founded companies, and co-organizes Stanford Climate Week. In her free time, you can find her writing, hiking, or otherwise dreaming of the Appalachian mountains of her backyard.
