Edric Tam

Edric (Ed) Tam, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University. He received his Ph.D. in Statistical Science from Duke University and holds degrees in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Chicago, Yale University, and Johns Hopkins University. His research lies at the intersection of statistics and artificial intelligence, developing AI-assisted approaches for Bayesian inference and computation, as well as statistical theory to evaluate, understand, guide and calibrate AI systems. He is interested in applications across biomedicine, business, and economics. He has held research and engineering roles at Google, Meta, Amazon, and Apple AIML.
