Brandon Farwell

Brandon Farwell is a general partner at Xfund. Prior to Xfund, he was an investment professional at DFJ focused on software, with investments including Box, Yammer (acquired by Microsoft), Twilio, Newsle (acquired by LinkedIn), SugarCRM, and Insight Squared, as well as frontier investments including Planet, Tesla, and SpaceX. He later helped build Rothenberg Ventures’ portfolio from early days, backing companies including Robinhood, Matterport (acquired by CoStar), Vicarious Surgical, Nearpod (acquired by Renaissance Learning), Andela, Gusto, Patreon, and others. He is also an angel investor. Brandon previously worked in sales operations and corporate development at Box. His focus includes enterprise technology, applied vertical AI, mixed reality, robotics and autonomy, and space. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for venture capital in 2015. He is a formal adviser to CASIS, selected by NASA in 2011 to manage and broker research on the International Space Station US National Laboratory. Brandon earned his undergraduate degree in economics and international relations from Stanford University. As a Stanford student, he helped lead BASES and was a varsity rower recognized with Pac-12 All-Academic Team honors. He also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Rock Ventures Fellow.
