Arun Balaraman

Arun is a technology product executive, advisor, and investor with more than 30 years of experience creating, launching, and scaling global products. During his tenure at Google, he received the Google Founders Award for the Android launch, led the growth of AdMob into a billion-dollar platform, and developed key products for Google Wallet and Google Play. He has also held engineering and product leadership roles at Siebel Systems, Netscape Communications, and Oracle Corporation. Today, Arun actively mentors student entrepreneurs and advises startups both independently and through organizations such as StartX and Stanford Venture Studio in addition to STVP.Dedicated to educational equity, Arun also volunteers with programs that provide math, coding, and robotics tutoring to school children from disadvantaged backgrounds. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and computer science degrees from India and University of Florida.
