Amir Eskanlou

Energy and Mineral Engineering
Amir Eskanlou is a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with Stanford’s Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and Mineral-X. He holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Mineral Engineering, with a minor in Computational Materials, from Penn State. He is an interdisciplinary scientist with over 15 years of research and industry experience. His work focuses on designing and optimizing uncertainty-aware, selective, energy-efficient, and low-waste processing flowsheets for critical minerals. Amir is also committed to developing experimentally validated, AI-driven frameworks for the design and discovery of selective and safe chemical reagents for critical-minerals extraction. He has a proven record of leading cross-functional research, securing funding, and advancing ideas from early-stage research to industry adoption.
