Alex Georgiou

MS in Mechanical Engineering, specialization in Biomechanical Engineering
Alex Georgiou is a second-year MS student in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to Stanford, he attended the University of Washington, earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering and conducting tissue engineering research in the Theberge Lab. At Stanford, he joined the Skylar-Scott Lab, designing 3D bioprinting nozzles to further research in organ manufacturing technologies. He is now the founder of Printess Technologies LLC, a spin-off of his Stanford research that seeks to democratize 3D bioprinting for researchers and educators internationally. In his free time, he enjoys training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the Stanford BJJ Club and dancing salsa and bachata with his friends.
